Rainey, Charles
Description
Resolution passed by the Student Government Association (SGA) on January 28, 2016 denouncing insensitive comments made by Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, an email sent by President Laurie Patton, as well as offensive racist actions taken during a January 18, 2018 Martin Luther King Today event at Mead Chapel. The SGA officially recommended that President Patton send an all-school email addressing the MLK Day event and Justice Scalia's comments. The recommendation was sponsored by First-Year Senator Charles Rainey.
