Description

During World War II, Charles W. Dryden was a member of the 99th Pursuit Squadron, U.S. Army Air Corps, known as the Tuskegee Airmen. In this interview, he describes First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt's flight with the Tuskegee Airmen, disproving the then-prevalent belief that African Americans were not capable of flying an aircraft.
