Brookhart (pilot, 1885 or 1886?); Captain Anthony Meldall (captain or pilot at one time)RIVERS: Ohio RiverOTHER INFORMATION: Ways - 1834; Came out new in the Pittsburgh-Cincinnati trade with Captain Hod Knowles, master. She was in the Pittsburgh and Cincinnati Packet Line, with Captain J. T. Stockdale manager at Pittsburgh, and Captain J. N. Williamson manager at Cincinnati. She had several accidents of note. She collided with the Montana in Beaver Shoals near midnight March 28, 1881, pilot Billy Abrams on watch. She settled in shallow water, and the passengers were kept aboard until daylight when the ferry Mary Campbell came down from Rochester and took them off. In raising her she swung broadside and sank again. On November 26, 1885 she was leaving the wharf boat at Ripley Landing, West Virginia, pilot William F. Brookhart on watch. She backed over a stave barge, put a hole in the stern transom and sank just above there. The Minnie Bay took the passenger to Ravenswood, West Virginia. Everything of value was taken off
