Description

Holograph, signed "Your loving Father."William Lloyd Garrison makes positive comments on Helen Villard's letter writing ability and her good standing in school. Helen Villard is very attached to Agnes Garrison. William Lloyd Garrison has invited some friends (Mr. and Mrs. Thaxter, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis, and Mr. and Mrs. Swasey) to tea and to spend the evening. Edward Atkinson spoke at the women's club on cotton textiles and the labor problems connected with their manufacture. William L. Garrison tells about Edward Fox, Sarah Southwick's lawyer, who was stricken with a fatal illness on his way to Charleston, South Carolina. William L. Garrison would prefer to go to England rather than California.
