Proclamation from the Mayor of Columbia, Eldridge Denham printed on the front page of the Feb 26, 1946 Columbia Herald. In the proclamation, Mayor Denham expresses his regret for the recent events in Columbia and encourages all citizens to return to normal life and to obey all law enforcement in Columbia.
