This recording includes tape 1 sides A and B. This tape was recorded December 16, 1978 in Glen Rickman's home, Crane, Missouri. Glen Rickman- fiddle, Gordon McCann- guitar. Glen on fiddle, doing this session for Bob "Jude" Herndon of Nixa, Missouri. "Okay Bob Herndon, here we go, me and Gordon McCann.." 1. "Give the Fiddler a Dram" (in the key of G) 2. "Blackberry Blossom" (in G) Glen tells Jude that there was a drunk boy behind the school singing. 3. "I Love Whiskey" (in G) Glen discusses another tune, "Spring Creek Breakdown." 4. "Spring Creek Breakdown" (in G) 5. "Brown Skin Gal" (in G) Glen says that this tune won him and Jude so much in 1929. 6. "Dill Pickle Rag" (in G & C) Glen says this next tune goes back to Ruby Darby. 7. "Balling the Jack" (in C) 8. "How Come You Do Me Like You Do, Do?" (in C) Glen tells Jude here is another tune, the first blues ever recorded in 1917. 9. "Livery Stable Blues/Hesitation Blues" (in C) Glen shows his new version of "Billy in the Lowground." 10. "Billy in the Lowground" (Glen Rickman's version) (in C) 11. "Sugar Blues" (in C) 12. "Highway Nigger" (in C) 13. "The Old Stillhouse is a'Burnin' Down" (in C) Gordon says that Glen is looking good. Shorty, Glen's wife, says that he plays the fiddle and walks. Glen plays Jude an old tune they used to hear them play at Jack Fields' around Clever. 14....
