Advertisements for products and businesses are painted on the wall. In the back corner is a sign mentioning both the Mobile A's (a minor league baseball team) and WUNI, a radio station in Mobile. The image was taken for (but not used in) the article "State Title Goes to Mobile County, 12-0," which appeared on page 6 of The Southern Courier for December 10-11, 1968.
