Document digitized by the Digital Library of Georgia in 2000, as part of GALILEO.This is a sunlit photograph of two groups of African Americans, the larger group behind the smaller, of men and women dressed in dark, formal clothing, some holding umbrellas, lead by a man holding a staff, dressed in a long white dress coat. He appears to be a religious leader. This is probably a baptism; the ground on which the people stand appears marshy, suggesting the group is near a body of water.Record Contributed By
