Holograph, signedTitle devised by catalogerWendell Phillips offers his thanks to William Lloyd Garrison for the "interesting volume" sent to him by Garrison, and states that it "takes [Phillips] back so many years". Phillips offers his reminiscences of the old days of the abolitionist struggle, and sends the thanks of his wife Ann for the photograph of Helen Garrison and the "Arabic poem" added for the Phillips'
