Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Legacy catalog card identifies the place of publication of this manuscript as "Andover".Legacy catalog card identifies the date of publication of this manuscript as "18 Feb. 1854".Legacy catalog card contains a note stating "On microfilm RBD 488."Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white paper stationery with the embossed initials "HBS" appearing along the head edge of the first page. Under the salutation, the number "15" is written in pencil, while in the head- fore corner of the first page, "Andover, Mass. 1854? Feb. 18?" is written in pencil, alongside "Harriet Beecher Stowe", also in pencil. In the tail- fore corner of the first page, "Ms.A 1.2v.24p.17" has also been written in pencil. A different handwriting from Stowe has written and underlined "Mrs. Stowe to W.L. Garrison" in black ink along the head edge of the first page. On the third page, nine lines up from the bottom of the page, "Lib. Feb. 17, 1854" has been added in pencil, in reference to a comment made by Stowe. When the letter ends after the fourth page, it continues vertically across the fourth page and then back on to the first page again.Harriet Beecher Stowe writes to William Lloyd Garrison rejoicing "in the result of your lecture in N. York" and urging "that all who hate slavery be united if not, in form, at least in fact. Unity is difference." She tells Garrison that "the lectures have been embarrassed by a pressure...
