Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Manuscript addressed from "9 Burroughs Place".Manuscript dated "Friday a.m."Samuel May, Jr. informs William Lloyd Garrison that although he has been attempting to set aside the time necessary to pay a visit to Garrison, it has thusly been impossible for him to do so. May states his certitude that he will be able to find the time to do soon. May expresses his wish that Garrison read the letter of E.W. Stoughton on the "Louisana matter".
