Lola James and her father at a Alpha Kappa Alpha Debutante Ball. Lola Belinda James, nee Sampson, was born in 1952 in Wilmington, NC. Alpha Kappa Alpha is the oldest Greek letter organization established by African American college educated women. There is a chapter at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
