Description

Seeking to fulfill its statute to "make Wisconsin a better place in which to live," the Governor's Commission on Human Rights issued this report on the living and working conditions of migratory laborers in Wisconsin. Because of their transitory life, migrant workers often went unnoticed by public officials, and were sometimes mistreated and left unaware of their rights. In order to curb these abuses, the Commission wanted to first establish a clearer picture of the situation and completed this report in 1950
