Dealing primarily with freedom schools, this folder contains an overview and Charles Cobb's prospectus for freedom schools; an analysis of a Mississippi bill designed to prevent freedom schools; a list of books and supplies needed by freedom schools; Charles Cobb's "Notes on Education"; a list of things to talk about in freedom schools; curriculum guides to teaching about the poor in America and about black history; a July 24, 1964, call for an additional 100 freedom school teachers from the North; McComb freedom school student Joyce Brown's poem, "The House of Liberty"; an outline for a year's work in adult education; the 1964 Platform of the Freedom School Convention of August 1964; and an issue of the "Pratt Freedom Press" newsletter from Jackson, Mississippi. Non-freedom school items are a summary of a February 1965 (?) SNCC meeting about the structure of SNCC, and a May 15, 1964,WATS line report about the arrest of civil rights workers whose car had broken down in Belzoni, Mississ
