Part 2 of an oral history interview with Ida Maria Campbell, a mixed race (African-American and Cuban) woman born in Cuba in 1951 who grew up in the Trinidad and Washington Highlands neighborhoods and participated in the U Street Corridor music scene as a singer and a patron. She recounts \running the numbers\ illegally for the family, and one day they won $1500 and bought house. She made music a career, becoming a radio presenter of the WPFW show Don't Forget the Blues.Ida Maria Campbell is a blues, jazz and RandB singer and presenter of the radio program Don't Forget the Blues.
