In this series of WSB-TV clips from Atlanta, Georgia on January 4, 1968, Jeannette Rankin speaks in opposition to the Vietnam War at a press conference ahead of peace rally at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Jeannette Rankin, Coretta Scott King, and other women appear at the press conference at Ebenezer Baptist Church. The clips start with Rankin speaking."....unilateral war. No one has declared war against us; we didn't decide to go to war, we just drifted in." The next clip shows a room full of press taking notes and recording the comments. The next clip shows Rankin again, "Nothing can hurt the national image after the world knows what we've done in this world..." The next clip shows the group of women sitting at a table in front of a bank of microphones. Coretta Scott King is seated next to Jeannette Rankin.The next clip shows Rankin speaking again, "You can't change a habit, a bad habit, until you make up your mind, and the minute we make up our minds, we're going to stop, we can stop. All you have to do is bring the boys home. Nobody invited us and no one declared war against us. We can just bring them home--it's the perfectly honorable thing to do." The next clip shows a cameraman filming the press conference.
