Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.In this letter to Amos A. Phelps, William H. Stoddard says that he accepts the position offered to him in the Massachusetts Abolitionist Society although he regrets that it has become necessary to organize the new society. He also gives names of several people “who are friendly to the new society.”
