Campaign flier in support of Trinidad A. Rojo and his candidacy for President of the Cannery Workers and Farm Laborers Union, Local 7. Quote from document: To avoid jealousies, suspicion and misunderstanding among the racial groups which compose our union, a fair quota of each should be maintained annually. .. One should not pretend to know everything. In my rounds with the common laborers, I heard excellent ideas of dispatching workers from a Negro. I found out that he worked under Henry Ford and was a member of a union which had 10,000 members. I heard the best suggestion in operating a cooperative restaurant from a graduate of a state prison. Among our 3,500 members there are men who have technical knowledge in bookkeeping, accounting, etc. We have 200 members who have had a college background, several of whom are beyond the master's degree.
