(To be Left at No. 32 Washington St.)"Rufus Austin Putman comments on St. Clair’s letter, discussing his own thoughts about circulating the (Massachusetts) Abolitionist and the way agents are employed in the structure of the new organization. He also talks about Parker Pillsbury’s impression that the Andover Theological Seminary “goes against the cause of the slave,” and that Massachusetts ministers are often not fully supportive of antislavery.
