Record Cedar Falls, Iowa Hughes Store Is Outfitters For WAVES; Re-open Announcement was mwfie this morning by Leo Hughes of the Hughes Dry/Goods company that arrangements to serve as outfitters for the WAVES has been made with the navy. The arrangement allocates all of the must items with the exception of the uni forms to the Hughes firm, The James G. Black company, Waterloo, will supply the uniforms. Between now and Dec. 15 when 1,000 WAVES wall come to the campus of Iowa State Teachers college, the Hughes store, on Main street, closed a short time ago, will be completely redecorated and refurnished, it was learned today. A lounge room where the WAVES and other customers of the store may headquarter while in the downtown area will be one of the new features, Leo F. Hughes has announced. . Such items as shirt waists, hosiery, and hats, which are on the must list, will be^furn-ished, and supplemental items such as cosmetics and accessories will be available at -the store.
