Original negative #: 2426-3; Caption on back: "The value of NYA work experience as a stepping stone to a job in private industry is shown by the fact that during the fiscal year ending June 30, 1941, more than 325,000 NYA [National Youth Administration] out-of-school youth obtained jobs in private industry, many of them in national defense. A proportionate number of negro youths are included and this number has increased with the shortage of workers caused by the war effort.
