View of the employees of Georgia Railroad standing on the steps of the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot building located at the intersection of Alabama Street and Loyd Street (now Central Avenue) in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The men are identified as 1. Emmett Bostick, 2. C. P. Pitchford, 3. V. H. Boyd, 4. T. J. Boyd, 5. R. Anderson, 6. E. A. Werner (agent), 7. R. Schmidt, 8. P. C. Smith, 9. E. J. O'Connor, 10. F. B. Glenn, 11. J. H. Gouedy, 12. F. A. Parkins, 13. J. L. Hussey, and 14. Albert Parker (porter).The Georgia Railroad Freight Depot is the oldest building in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The depot was constructed in 1869. In 1981 the depot was turned into a banquet hall and meeting facility for public use by the Georgia Building Authority.
