Description
Group portrait of the Imperial Council of the Ancient Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine and Imperial Court of the Daughters of Isis at their 15th anniversary in Indianapolis from August 6-8 in 1913. The gathering was held at the new Pythian Temple on Senate Avenue and Walnut Street. Members hold banners stating the cities they come from. Newspapers at the time report that Eugene Phillips of New York, potentate of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine, was hosted during the event by W. A. Kersey at 534 North Senate Avenue and Mary I. Miller, imperial commandress of the Daughters of Isis, was hosted by Mrs. W. H. Brice at 1107 North Senate Avenue. A public reception was also held at Bethel A.M.E Church on the Evening of the 6th.
