Description

Two infants in a crib outside the Indianapolis Asylum for Friendless Colored Children, commonly known as the Colored Orphans Home located at 25th Street and North Keystone Avenue in Indianapolis, Indiana. The organization was founded by the Indianapolis Society of Friends in 1870 and the Marion County Board of Commissioners took control of it in 1922.
