This folder is composed primarily of correspondence between Robert Kastenmeier and his constituents. The letters discuss the shaping of Civil Rights Act of 1964, the provision of federal protection to civil rights workers, support for the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party, and a string of firebombings in McComb, Mississippi.
