Description

London Dayton, elsewhere identified as a free African American, "formerly a servant of John Dayton," sells Josiah Dayton one half acre of land near the Whale Bone section of Round Swamp for 33 shillings. The parcel is bounded on the north, south and west by land belonging to Captain Abraham Gardiner's heirs, and on the east by a highway [unnamed]. Witnessed by Nat Gardiner and Richard Mulford; not executed by a Suffolk County, N.Y. Justice of the Peace.
