Description
This folder contains materials documenting state level work of the YMCA. Within a few years of the establishment of YMCA work at the national level, it became clear that a single organization for the entire United States and Canada could not meet the needs of local associations for ""mutual conference and discussion."" This folder specifically covers materials related to work with African Americans in the state of Virginia, including statisical information on fundraising efforts between both White's only YMCAs and African American YMCAs.
