Description
The Utah correspondent tells the story of a group of Gentiles who attempt to seek refuge with Johnston’s army, but are captured by Mormons and imprisoned in Salt Lake. The horrible conditions in this prison are described. Mormon women are seduced from the lowest classes of society and usually lack intelligence. The correspondent tells the stories of women who attempt to escape polygamy and Mormonism.
