Description

General Service officers eagle insignia. Worn on the right side of a Union officers 1858 Hardee/Kossuth/Jefferson Davis-type hat. Eagle made of gold wire rope and sequins sewn on black velvet formed over an oval tin plate with small ring attached to the back at the bottom.On a paper label pasted on the underside: The State Historical and / Natural History Society of / Colorado.
