Printed form on verso is a ship's list, completed in manuscript: ""It is agreed between master, seamen or mariners of the [Brigantine Anne, John Burnham] master, now bound from the port of [Saybrook to New York and to Savanah in Georgia and the West Indies & back ...] That in consideration of the monthly or other wages against each respective seaman or mariner's name hereunder set ... [1797]."" Some signatures are marks and some designated runaway or negro.
