Description

This whip, once used on slaves, is a paddle consisting of a broad strap of .4 cm thick leather, pierced at 10 points and having a split end; affixed with nails to turned wood handle. The strap is reinforced with fine twine wound around leather over handle and secured by a brad. From the John A. Andrew artifact collection, #0452.02
