Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Esther Moore writes to Maria Weston Chapman in regards to drawing comfort from Maria's remarks in the Liberator on Thomas Parnell Beach's letter. She has sympathized with the "persecuted brothers" in New England who prefer dungeon and banishment to "servile homage to a worthless Idle Lordly Clergy" and with the "Three Martyrs of Quincy, Illinois. sentenced for 12 years in the Missouri Penitentiary-"for informing a poor bondsman how to escape from slavery." He lauds Maria's conduct at the meeting of Freemen and was glad that the nomination of Caroline Weston prevailed. He remarks on the attitudes of Nathaniel Colver and Joshua Leavitt. He exhorts not to give up the woman question. Her husband, Robert Moore, has sent a package of small boxes made by himself. She encloses $5 for T.P. Beach. In a postscript, she writes about the George Latimer case.
