Naiymah Ariana Sanchez is a Afro-Latina transgender female from the Bronx and Philadelphia. At the time of this oral history, Sanchez worked as the Trans Justice Coordinator with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU-PA). In this interview she discusses her childhood experiences with gender, as well as her mentors. Sanchez also touches upon topics such as drag, conversion therapy, racism, ancestors, workplace discrimination, and the stigmas associated with being transgender.
