Atwood, Jesse Howell

Notes taken by Knox College Professor of Sociology, J. Howell Atwood from a 1909 printed financial report of the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church located in Galesburg, Illinois. The report was apparently written by the church's secretary, J.A. Brown. Atwood conducted extensive research from 1930-1960 about the Galesburg African American community.
