Holograph, signed with initials.Pages 1-2 of this manuscript are a transcription in the hand of another person. Pages 3-5 are in the hand of William Lloyd Garrison.William Lloyd Garrison declines an invitation to attend the celebration of the centennial anniversary of the Battle of Concord. He gives his views on the importance of the Battle of Concord. His sympathies are always with the oppressed. He speaks in favor of women's suffrage and the rights of colored people.See Call No. Ms.A.1.1 v.8, p.69B for an earlier draft of this letter.
