Description
These two children were photographed during a Young Peoples' Department event at Bethel A.M.E. Church. In the background, a photo of Richard Allen (A.M.E. Church founder) can be seen. It is likely that these children were dressed as Richard Allen and his wife Sarah Allen.The Bethel A.M.E. Church Collection was funded by a 2016 grant from LSTA. The digital partnership was a collaboration between IHS, IUPUI University Library (www.ulib.iupui.edu/digitalscholarship), Indiana State Museum, and Bethel A.M.E. Church.
