Bradleyy, a former polic officer, was the first African American mayor of the city. He was important in the redevelopment of downtown, bringing the 1984 Olympics to the city, and pushing for development of the rapid transit system.Portrait of Thomas Bradley, Mayor of Los Angeles from 1973-1993.
