Description

Ernest A. Swinson, age 47, was wounded by a .45 caliber pistol fired by 35-year-old Robert Coleman (not pictured) outside Barney's Lunch, and then treated inside the North side cafe. The violence was a continuation of a previous feud over a baby whose mother was in relationships with both men. Swinson was charged with felonious assault after the previous altercation for wounding Coleman with a knife. African American History.
