Description

Photograph of a log cabin that sits alongside the main house at Doughoregan Manor in Howard County, Maryland. Doughoregan Manor was the ancestral home of the Carroll family, including Charles Carroll (1737-1832), of Carrollton, one of the original signers of the Declaration of Independence. This rectangular log house with its steeply pitched metal roof has one door and one window on this side of the house and a brick chimney rising from the right center of its roof. It is one of several log houses in a "village" on the estate.
