Description
Two women are seated on the stage behind him. An electric coffee urn is on on the table in front of the podium; it is plugged into a socket in the ceiling. The pocket of Featherstone's jacket reads, "WRMA," which was an African American radio station in Montgomery, Alabama. This image was taken for (but not used in) the photo spread "Black Panther Stalks Lowndes Victory," which appeared on page 3 of The Southern Courier for November 5-6, 1966. The issue is available online (not on the ADAH website): http://www.southerncourier.org/low-res/Vol2_No45_1966_11_05.pdf
