Description

The 1948 Dodge County Historical Society annual report contains two documents: the 98-page Annual Report and the 16-page Combined Annual Report. The Annual Report includes Problems and Objectives, Statistical summary, Office Staff, Organization and Planning, Agricultural Program Planning, Plan of Work, Crop Production, Livestock Production Conservation of Natural Resources, Farm Management, Marketing and Distribution, Housing, Farmstead Improvement and Equipment, Home and Community Chairman Organization, all other work, Assistance Rendered Other Federal Agencies, 4-H Club Work, Annual Report of County Club Agent, Extension Conference. The reports includes nine illustrated maps. Items of interest include: Mobile chest X-ray screening for tuberculosis; County opened bids for cutting standing timber in the Severance Forest, purchased by Stewart Eayrs, used as demonstration on how to scale the logs and pile sawed lumber.
