Description

This folder is composed of Wide Area Telephone Reports written by SNCC between the months of September and December 1965. The reports describe: the Agriculture Stabilization & Conservation Service's first integrated elections; attempts at voter registration following the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act; the movement to integrate Southern schools; and the violence enacted by white supremacist groups in reaction to these efforts.
