Hudson, notifies them that they "are appointed Commissioners to examine witnesses in a cause depending in Baltimore County Court, between Francis Todd plaintiff and William Lloyd Garrison Defendant." It requests these Commissioners to take the oath on the back of the page and take depositions of witnesses, sending them to the judge of the court. It is signed by the clerk of the court, William Gibson.
