Description

Gavel used by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. The gavel is made of a sawn-off deer's foreleg. The upper that was held balloons out and is wrapped with silver foil tape, and attached with a braided leather thong. Label taped to center of handle, 'Chap. D. S. Massie / 659 Carroll Ave.'
