Description
A slave deed bill of sale for the acquisition of three slaves: "a woman named Betty about twenty one years of age, and her two children Louis-Randolph about four years of age, and William Henry about twelve months old." The document states that Francis T. Reid received eight-hundred dollars from William Harrison, Jr. for the slave transaction, dated Jan. 25, 1843, witnessed by Lemuel B. McConnico, County Clerk of Williamson County, Tennessee. The document was recorded by J.R. Hunter, Register, on Jan. 27, 1843.
