Letter from Caroline Weston, Hingham, [Mass.], to Deborah Weston, Dec. 13, 1834, Saturday

@ Boston Public Library

Holograph, signed.Caroline Weston describes the details of her illness. She writes: "Everyone is sick here there are two or three in every house & in some families all." She begs Deborah to be careful. She has heard from Anne [Warren Weston] that cousin Mary Arnold is very ill and fears that "Grandmas folks will get sick taking care of her." She emphasizes the kindness shown to Caroline Weston by Mrs. Moorfield. "My young Ladies have gone without me." [The "young ladies" are probably Caroline's pupils.]
