The folder is a collection of essays on community organizing by a variety of people, most of which seem to have been written in relation to the civil rights movement: "The Freedom Movement in Boston" by Noel Day deals with the social conditions for blacks, particularly new migrants, in that city, and assesses assorted civil rights groups there from about 1962-1963. "Finding and Making Leaders" by Nicholas von Hoffman criticizes the style of some community organizers. "Cambridge, Maryland: A Case Study" by Connie Brown discusses the 1963 student summer project there. "The Care and Feeding of Power Structures" by Jack Minnis outlines the role that economic research can play in the civil rights movement. A rough draft of "Community Organization in the Ghetto: A Critique" by Bill Strickland describes what he believes is essential to changing America's ghettos. "Politics 1964: Corporatism and Crisis" by Eugene Feingold and Tom Hayden and "The Triple Revolution: An Appraisal of the Major U.
