Holograph, signed with initials.William Lloyd Garrison tells about preparing a lecture on the impeachment of President Johnson while traveling to New York. William L. Garrison was met by Wendell Phillips Garrison. They went to his Wendell's home and were greeted by Lucy McKim Garrison and Mr. & Mrs. J. Miller M'Kim. William L. Garrison attended the funeral of Mrs. Helen M. Oakford (Mrs. Anthony's daughter). Garrison gave his lecture, which was published in the New York Tribune. He was disappointed that the New York Tribune did not publish his lecture. Wendell Phillips heard his lecture. Garrison tells of the places he visited and the neighbors who called on him while staying at Wendell Phillips Garrison's house. Garrison says: "To-morrow forenoon I am to be at Brady's for a photograph."This letter was written on stationary belonging to The Nation.
