Ben Harold Bryson is interviewed by Lorraine Crittenden on May 7, 1986 as a part of the Western North Carolina Tomorrow Black Oral History Project. Bryson discusses hauling laundry in a little wagon, having a blind father, only making three dollars a day at one point, going to Cullowhee School, treatment of black patients at the hospital, the struggles of the Depression including going through relief, and more.
