Holograph, signed.Title devised by cataloger.Boston Public Library (Rare Books Department) manuscript composed in black ink on white, lined paper with an embossed head of woman wearing a crown reading "Liberty" in the head- spine corner of each page. Under the salutation the number "38" is wriitten in pencil.George Thompson writes to William Lloyd Garrison as he wishes him "to be informed day to day of my movements." Thompson describes how he spent the day and evening with New York abolitionists including Oliver Johnson and Garrison's son, Wendell Phillips Garrison. Thompson also reports that he is leaving for Springfield on Tuesday. He then asks Garrison to write a letter to Oliver Johnson who "seems a little unsettled regarding his visit to Washington" with Thompson, hoping that Garrison's words will "determine his mind in the right direction."
